For a fixed wireless connection, data is transmitted from a nearby tower to a rooftop antenna installed at your premises. The connection uses a series of transmission towers (a.k.a. ground stations) to relay 4G radio signals to deliver broadband services to a location as far as 8.7 miles away.
It’s a way for homes and businesses to connect to the internet using radio waves rather than using a physical connection through traditional fibre-optic or copper wiring.
Unlike our satellite broadband systems that communicate in outer space, our fixed wireless dishes and radios communicate only with ground stations.
